Al caer en la cuenta de que Sol Pérez vuelve a salir con un futbolista luego de sus fallidas relaciones con Exequiel Palacios -crack de River- y Lisandro Magallán -defensor de Boca-, y antes con Lisandro Martínez -nunca confirmada-, podría pensarse que otra vez tropieza con la misma piedra. No obstante, poco se supo de él. Apenas su nombre de pila: Matías. Su trabajo: profesor de fútbol infantil. Su lugar de origen: Ituzaingó. Y además, su frase de cabecera: "Nunca tuve plata, tampoco miedo", fue lo que le dijo al oído a Tinelli, antes de demostrar toda su valentía en ese encuentro tan apasionado como público con la participante más polémica del certamen.
Ahora bien, a despejar el misterio. El muchacho se llama Matías Agustín Gelpi, tiene 29 años (cumplidos hace unos días, el 5 de noviembre) y hace poco dejó el fútbol profesional. Surgido del Club Atlético Ituzaingó, en el glorioso León del oeste supo desempeñarse como delantero tras haber debutado en 2007. A lo largo de distintas temporadas con la casaca verde, este futbolista "luchador y con mucho sacrificio", como se definía, jugó 79 partidos y marcó 12 tantos.
Este riquelmista (por su admiración hacia Juan Román Riquelme) también limitó en Juventud Unida, Deportivo Paraguayo, Leandro N. Alem y Lamadrid, siempre en el Ascenso del fútbol argentino, aunque tuvo un paso por Panamá: llevó sus goles a Plaza Amador, equipo de la primera del país centroamericano.
Ya retirado (su último partido fue el año pasado), Matías regresó al CAU para trabajar en las divisiones infantil. Dicha institución es presidida por Hernando Politano, el tío de... Sol Pérez, claro. Así fue como se conocieron.
<i>Teleshow</i> se comunicó con Matías. "La verdad es que no quiero salir hablando de nada porque no pertenezco a este mundo y tampoco quiero hacerlo. Solamente me interesa Sol", dijo Gelpi, confirmando la relación pero evitando dar mayores detalles.
A esta altura, ya ni falta que hacía. Todo quedó a la vista. Porque el amor -como sucede con el fútbol- le dio revancha a Sol Pérez.
